Do you know WHY people hate being white? Because of people like the submitter of the OP, who go out of their way to make white people look like the scum of the earth, less than the dirt, less than everything, in some sick form of payback for how our ancestors treated everyone else. Because if we can’t be proud (because that’s racist), we might as well hate ourselves for the same reason everyone else hates us.
It’s not because we see other races as “cooler”, it’s because who would want to be part of a group everyone hates?
What the hell else do you expect us to do? I have no idea what I’m acting “privileged”. But from what I’ve seen? Every thing I do is. I can’t even argue this point, because I’m “privileged” and clearly have no idea what its like. Because I’m “racist” by daring to imply whites get treated even half as bad as everyone else.
Everything feel worse when you are the person being attacked. You fail to see how bad others are being treated, even if its as bad as you.
What is “white privilege”? Stereotypes and ridicule and excuses to hate people who are white. “Check your privilege” indeed.
The only thing I want from this world is racism to stop entirely, no matter who is getting it. African, Spanish, French, Italian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Asian, Indian, I don’t care what race you are, if you’re a jerk, you’re a jerk, and I won’t blame your whole race because of you, and that’s how it should be. The sad thing is, this is so unlikely to happen as long as people who make blogs like the OP’s blog and other race-oriented blogs exist.
You want me to “check my privilege”? Check yours first. Nobody has any opinions regarding someone’s race, because someone’s appearance should not matter, yet you get away with it. Everyone has the “privilege” of mocking a white person for being white, but heaven help you if someone mocks anyone of any other race. That is your privilege, and if I should check mine, you should check yours before you open your mouth, the same as me.
Be you black, white, Asian, Indian, Hispanic, Native American, orange, whatever, what matters is WHO you are, not WHAT you are.
